The student is equipped with technical, theoretical knowledge as well as practical knowledge in the software development field. The FET Certificate is the entry point for this field at NQF level 4. The student will be equipped with the ability to develop and maintain software applications in any IT environment.
Certificates are awarded by the Department of Higher Education & Training ((MICTSETA)). You can not obtain your diploma without completing both your theoretical modules and your practical’s logbook assessment. External examinations are administered by the Department of Higher Education & Training ((MICTSETA). The examinations are National Examinations. A student will only be allowed to write the final examinations upon completion of all assignments, assessments and 80% class attendance.
Courses Curriculum
The program is done within a period of three years, 18 months of theory and 18 months of practicals. The program is available in fulltime mode.
